The world-famous Weirdstone of Brisingamen, by Alan Garner, explores the myth and psychogeography of this evocative part of Cheshire. Contained within the story is a memorable journey undertaken from Alderley Edge to Shutlingsloe and Cleulow Cross; over the two Sundays of the festival, we’ll retrace this 24-mile route, reflecting on the book and creating new writing inspired by its themes.
