Alderley Park Ventures Limited (APVL) is a £5M incubation fund managed by BioCity Group Ltd to support life science companies establishing themselves at Alderley Park.
Alderley Park Ventures provides Pre-seed (<£80k) and Seed capital (£80 –£500k) to support SMEs based at the Park. For those companies seeking investment from the fund the key criteria includes:
- Life science business
- Based at Alderley Park
- Ideally early stage or start up / spin out

Greater Manchester and Cheshire Life Science Fund
The £42m Greater Manchester and Cheshire Life Sciences Fund, managed by Catapult Ventures, is a seed and early stage venture capital fund open to life science businesses located in the Greater Manchester and Cheshire and Warrington region. The fund invests in life science businesses across the following sectors:
- Pharmaceuticals
- Biotechnology
- Diagnostics
- Life Science contract research organisations (CRO)
- Healthcare technologies
