State-of-the-art AV equipment

Alderley Park Conference Centre invests in state-of-the-art AV equipment.

Alderley Park Conference Centre is investing in a substantial upgrade to its facilities, including a £120,000 installation of new audio-visual equipment.

The Cheshire venue is responding to an increasing demand from blue-chip companies for sites that can offer state-of-the-art connectivity and digitally-sophisticated conferencing facilities. A two-stage upgrade of its technology and interior décor has begun, aimed at cementing Alderley Park’s position as an international conferencing venue of note. The project includes a including the installation of 4k digital projection in the auditorium, as well as adding multi-screen projection units and upgrading the technology in the seminar suites.

Future plans include developing a bespoke video conferencing suite – allowing customers to connect colleagues overseas or in remote locations to a presentation or company update.

The venue, has held more than 150 events since hitting the commercial conferencing and events market in June 2016. Customers making use of the venue include retailers Halfords and Tesco, Manchester Metropolitan University, Royal Society of Chemistry, Veolia, Adlephi Communications and Cancer Research UK.

The facility also regularly plays host to industry leading scientific conferences including BioCap – the UK’s largest conference dedicated to investors from the life science sector and recently hosted BioInfect – Europe’s leading conference dedicated to the fight against antimicrobial resistance.

Martin Mochan, Head of Conferencing at Alderley Park said: “The Alderley Park Conference Centre is a hidden gem in the region and offers something completely different to a city centre venue.

“Alongside a picturesque setting, the out of town location allows for congestion-free access by car, and complementary on-site parking thanks to the spacious grounds. The scalable facilities, which include a 233-seat auditorium and meeting rooms for 18 to 150 delegates, allow us to cater to whatever size of event our customers require and the significant investment into AV provision will only enhance our offering.

“The team here is rapidly developing a reputation for quality event delivery in the UK conferencing sector; our approach to customer service and going the extra mile is already resulting in repeat bookings. Additionally, our proximity to Manchester Airport is translating into increasing international enquiries.

“We have recently joined the HBAA, the trade association for the venue booking community, and have also achieved accreditation from Venues of Excellence. Membership of these organisations is a significant external endorsement of quality and evidences the strong relationships we are developing with booking agencies.”

In October 2016 the Conference Centre launched its own conference programme – a series of seminars and events for life science professionals  whilst a new range of team building activities and events will be launched later this year.
