ALDERLEY PARK GYM TRANSITION FAQs


As part of the development of the Park, we’re excited to be developing a brand new 20,00 sq ft gym opening in September this year. The new gym will feature a health and fitness studio, dance studio, sports hall, three tennis courts, alongside five-a-side all weather football pitch and upgrades to the cricket pitch and 7-a-side and 11-a-side football pitches.

The current gym, Mulberry’s, will close on 31st March 2019, after which there will be an interim period where the teams will be working hard to develop the new gym.

We understand you may have some questions about the changes taking place, your existing gym membership, and future opportunities so we’ve pulled together the below to give you a little more information. How do I cancel my direct debit and wHAT’S THE DEADLINE?

  • Please log in to www.clubazonline.com and follow the cancellation link at the bottom of the page.  We will cancel your salary or Direct Debit subscription although we also recommend that you also cancel your Direct debit with the bank. Unfortunately Club AZ are unable to issue refunds retrospectively. All members will be able to continue to use their ClubAZ membership of £2.50 per month to enjoy the benefits of the discount card, the ClubAZ Shop discount and take part in the Club AZ lottery.

Will there be any gym facilities or classes between March and September?

  • Everybody Sport and Recreation will be working with the community engagement team at Alderley Park to offer a range of health and wellbeing activities to coincide with the initiatives being provided to staff and visitors to Alderley Park during the late Spring and Summer months.

I only have a standard membership, can I use Hulley’s Club AZ gym instead during this period?

  • All members will be able to use the Hulley’s facilities. However this does exclude community members unless they link to an existing ClubAZ Primary Member working on site.

Do I need to inform anyone if I want to use Hulley’s gym?

  • No just go along and have a look around. The same friendly ClubAZ team run both facilities so you will be surrounded by familiar faces.

What’s available at Hulley’s?

  • Extensive programme of over 50 classes per week

  • Two state-of-the-art, well -equipped gyms

  • Spin studio

  • 5-aside astroturf pitch

  • Physiotherapist and beautician services

  • Sportspoint children’s clubs during all school holidays

Can I still join MULBERRY’S gym and book classes for the final 6 weeks of Mulberry’s?

  • Yes, you can join or pay as you go for the gym or classes.

Are you offering pay as you go access to MULBERRY’s between January - March?

  • Yes, you can pay as you go. The cost is £4 per session for existing ClubAZ Members or £5 per session for non-members.

What will happen to my Lottery contribution if I choose to leave Mulberry’s gym?

  • Your ClubAZ membership with all the benefits will remain as will your lottery contribution.

What are the membership options for the new gym?

  • Everybody at Alderley Park membership options and more detailed information on the health and fitness offer will be confirmed in mid July 2019. The membership options will include access to all of the other 15 Everybody Sport and Recreation facilities across Cheshire East which includes access to the gym, group fitness classes and swimming. In the meantime, if you are interested in joining one of the current Everybody 15 leisure facilities please visit www.everybody.org.uk for more information on your nearest location and membership offers.

Will the new gym be open to the general public or just employees at the Park?

  • Yes, the gym will be open to all including the general public, residents at Alderley Park and people working at the Park.

What is happening with current sport CLUB bookings at Alderley Park?
